Redback Biotek were privileged to install the new Moxus Metabolic system up-grade
at GIH. There was an opportunity to do a tour of the old sports science laboratory.
This was like visiting the holy grail in sports science history with rooms now vacant once
the birthplace of modern sports science. This is where P-O Åstrand worked and pioneered
our field of work.

Redback Biotek were privileged to be invited to present the errors in measurement
in the area of indirect metabolic measurements. This was part of the Swedish laboratory
standards annual meeting and accreditation. The presentation was extremely well received.
An excerpt from Dr. Hans Rosdahl, a distinguished and decorated Post Doctoral Professor
“His presentation and attendance at the meeting in Falun within Swedish association for
measurements in sport and physical activity health, was also highly appreciated. His presentation
was very professional and well-grounded both scientifically and within his world network
with Sport Scientists and Sport Technologists. In the coffee breaks he had a busy time in taking
care of all questions from people within the audience…”

Redback Biotek was pleased to support this conference as a trade exhibitor.
This conference covers all aspects of physiology in both Human and Animal Physiology.
The Physiological Society and the American Physiological Society are delighted
to be partnering to hold Physiology 2016 in Dublin.
This partnership between the two oldest and largest physiological societies
in the world marks the 140th anniversary of the founding of TPS and the 129th
of the APS and is a continuation of a program of strategic collaborations.
Redback Biotek was pleased to partake in the ECSS 2016 conference trade exhibition.
This was an excellent conference with many international speakers and some excellent
new technology was on display. Redback Biotek made new partnerships at this conference
including TMG from Slovenia and Myon from Switzerland, both ground-breaking technologies
in their own right.
Organisations from all over Ireland from Donegal to Dublin and Cork made their way to
the free workshop on using Microgate technology. Our partners Microgate, from Italy
made their way to Dublin with a plethora of sports technology. They also used the extensive
Microgate equipment already on site at the magnificent IIS sports science facility at their
Abbotstown location. The presentation was in two parts. Firstly the theoretical presentation
by their sports science and sales expert Marco D’Apro. Then a practical demonstration on the
indoor track with the long Optojump length and their anti gravity treadmill using the Optogait
technology. The workshop was well received and a letter of thanks was also produced by
Microgate themselves for the well-organised gathering.
A special thanks to the Irish Institute of Sport who were very professional, they also supplied
the facilities and food and catering facilities on the day.
