Sports and Clinical Technology explained.
This page seeks to explain the technical errors in biotechnology equipment and the mistakes
being made in our field by users of this equipment. Much of this misinformation has been
passed on because most people in our field are not trained in the area of Biophysics,
Instrumentation or Sensor technology or even the sensing methodologies within the human
system. Many also are making the mistake of using this technology with athletes who require
a much smaller measurement error than non-athletes. It can be possible to elicit a 30% change
of a non-athlete through a training intervention, whereas an athlete may change less than
2% per year. This means you have much less scope for error when it comes to looking at changes.
